Bill C-45 and the New Health and Safety Crime OHS Criminal Negligence Bill C-45 for Businesses. This course it will reduce the risk of charges and jail time. Federal Government - Occupational Health and Safety Criminal Liability Act - Bill "C-45" is Law in Canada and any member of Management in the workplace can be held accountable for critical injuries including the death of a worker, resulting in prosecution by the police for failing to protect workers, for not taking every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of a worker. The following management can and will be charged with punishment up to and including jail time as well as fines up to $1,000,000.00 dollars. This includes President, V.P., General Managers, Foremen and Supervisors. Workers must be properly trained in safe work procedures and policies including written instructions by Supervisors on how to work safely, ensuring that the workers sign off the training with a minimum 80% pass mark - you must have seen in Toronto where the Supervisor was charged with failing to ensure the site was safe and received 3 1/2 years in Federal jail. It is important to note if a person is found guilty in Canada of offence of this nature, traveling to USA will be out of the question
